Patients who have breast augmentation can still breast feed after surgery. However, 10-32% of women are naturally unable to breastfeed. Be sure to notify your physician if you are planning to have children in the future. 

There are different options for incision sites and implant placement. Techniques which minimize trauma to the nipple or breast gland optimize chances to breast freed after surgery. These include an incision in the breast fold and implant placement below the muscle.
